About the Job

The Utility Relocation Coordinator will play a critical role in the design, build, and finance of the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations, and Tunnel (South Civil) package. This position will be responsible for coordinating and managing utility relocations, supervising field engineering and construction activities, and assisting in the technical review of project designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage utility relocations as required
  • Supervise and coordinate field engineering and construction activities
  • Assist in the coordination of temporary or permanent relocations/installations of utilities
  • Participate in meetings with internal and external design teams
  • Participate in the development of contractual strategies to facilitate utility relocations
  • Assist in the analytical review and evaluation of costs/risks and decision to relocate or support/protect utilities
  • Advises project staff of what issues require resolution within the construction contracts
  • Contribute to the development of a construction plan and manage subcontractor activities
  • Prepare detailed quantity take offs and cost estimates
  • Attend meetings with Clients, Municipal Agencies, and other Consultants
  • Monitor work performance and efficiency of subcontractors
  • Track and collect documentation for extra work, submittals, and backup for billing purposes
  • Track and document project schedule activity, start, finish, % complete, and major milestones
  • Oversee SUE investigations and Condition Survey tasks
Requirements:
  • University degree or college diploma in Civil Engineering, Municipal Engineering, or similar field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with preparing technical drawings and technical reports
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, experience with GIS and other digital tools would be an asset
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Collaborative personality and strong sense of teamwork
  • Confident and positive attitude
