Job Title: Human Resources Representative

Location: G3 Head Office, Winnipeg

The HR Representative is an integral member of the HR team, reporting to the VP of Human Resources. This role provides support to the VP of HR and Regional HR Business Partners on day-to-day basis and contributes to the short and long-term strategic goals of the HR department. This role specifically supports the development, implementation, support, and review all HR department initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver analyses of HR data; identify trends and contribute to the creation of HR insights that enable the diagnosis of business issues, enhancement of employee engagement, and/or improvement of business performance.
  • Carry out complex HR data processing tasks; advise colleagues when needed and use expertise to help improve data collection tools and administration processes.
  • Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
  • Produce, update, and provide best practice support on a wide range of MS documents, excel, databases and other departmental systems to support the work of more senior colleagues.
  • Provide administrative support on a variety of HR functions.
  • Prepare email communications, letters, presentations, reports, and similar documents to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Provide recruitment support by following established procedures. Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards, post secondary institutions, etc.
  • Support the annual campus recruitment cycle by coordinating the co-op and summer student placements as well as coordinating and attending career fairs.
  • Work with various stakeholders while overseeing the Annual Performance Review and Compensation (merit & STIP) processes within G3's HRIS system.
  • Plays a key role in supporting the preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Oversee administration of HR related courses on G3's Learning Management System.
  • Provide support and act as backup to Pension/Benefits Analyst.
  • Manages HR portion of the HRIS system including troubleshooting, ticket submission and system upgrades.
  • Key point of contact for various federally regulated initiatives such as Employment Equity, Pay Equity, and Accessibility.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to work without supervision and provide technical guidance on planning, organizing, prioritizing, and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
  • Post-Secondary education with a Human Resources focus; CPHR designation or working towards designation is an asset.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related HR experience is required.
  • Experience in HRIS applications is required (Ceridian Dayforce preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel is required.
  • Current knowledge of all legislated requirements pertaining to all HR and payroll functions (Canada Labour code, Human Rights, CRA and pension administration rules).
