Position: Employee Experience Coordinator

Reports to: Human Resources and Employee Experience Advisor and VP of Finance and Administration

Employment: Full Time seasonal

Job Description: Manage the staff accommodation program. Assist with mediation and resolution of HR issues.

Projected Start Date: October 7, 2024

Position Requirements/Skills:

  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • People orientated
  • HR Experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Resource Person for Department Heads for HR issues
  • Staff go-to person for HR issues not resolved with Managers
  • Sensitive to multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Staff Accommodation: Handle rental contracts, allocation of beds.
  • Coordinate repairs, coordinate end of winter season staff accom clean up
  • Work closely with accounting and payroll to manage the collection of rent
  • Manage staff disputes related to accommodation
  • Spot checks for all Employee Accommodation buildings and action any further follow up issues (ie, noise complaints, obstruction of common areas, etc breach of Accommodation Rules & Regulations)
  • Responsible for the safekeeping of the Employee Accommodation keys
  • Maintain postings of job advertisements, job fairs, employment application process, foreign worker visas
  • Assisting in the revising and editing of the employee handbook
  • Execution of staff rewards and employee of the month recognition events
  • Develop and maintain human resources strategies and policies with the Big White management team and to provide that team with support for those functions

Physical Demands:

  • Able to physically get around the resort to do staff accommodation inspections
  • Light lifting

Starting Wage: $24.00/hr

Location: Big White Ski Resort
