Job Title: General Duty Medical Laboratory Technologist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled General Duty Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Shared Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for clinical analysis and reporting on patient samples, as well as assisting in general lab projects.
About the Role: Under the general supervision of the Charge or designate, you will be responsible for:
- Performing clinical analysis and reporting on patient samples according to established protocols
- Assisting in general lab projects such as SOPs, chemical inventories, etc.
- Maintaining a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines
- Ensuring compliance with quality assurance programs and maintaining standards put forth by Accreditation
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous related experience
- Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program
- Current registration or eligible for registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM)
- Current membership with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) considered an asset
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent language skill in English, both written and oral
Working Conditions: This role requires working shifts, weekends, and holidays, as well as participating in standby and callback duty. You will also be required to rotate through various workstations as needed.
