As a Security Professional, you will be responsible for:

  • Access control for the facility/area
  • Presenting a polished, professional, customer-friendly image at all times
  • Managing conflicts and incidents and deescalating
  • Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders
  • Ensuring the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed
  • Undertaking site-specific training and following direction from Site Supervisor or Manager
  • Demonstrating good judgment, common sense, and decision-making ability
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Operating/monitoring security room equipment

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring
  • Experience with report writing and note-taking
  • Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems
  • Valid Ontario security guard license and driving license
  • Eligibility to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
