Precast Detailer

Join our team at Strescon Limited, a leading precast, pre-stressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada, as a Precast Detailer. In this role, you will be responsible for detailing architectural and structural precast concrete elements and precast building layouts.

Established in 1963, Strescon Limited has grown to become the largest precast, pre-stressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada. Our primary market covers the Atlantic Provinces, the New England region of the United States, and Bermuda. We manufacture a wide range of both architectural and structural precast/prestressed concrete products.

Job Summary

This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can interpret reinforcing sketches and create accurate drawings (layouts, elevations, sections, and precast members). You will work closely with structural and architectural contract drawings, as well as with Project Managers, Engineering, Shop, and Erection teams to ensure accuracy and timely completion of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Detailing architectural and structural precast concrete members, including bridges, building, and miscellaneous members
  • Create Precast building layouts
  • Work with structural and architectural contract drawings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary education in Civil, Architectural, Structural, or Mechanical Technology is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with drafting/detailing and experience using a computerized drafting software package
