Supervise a team to manage the launch and maintenance of programs within quality, budget, and timing targets to ensure customer satisfaction and internal objectives. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in high volume production, technical representation, resource planning, and business case analysis. A post-secondary diploma in Business Administration or Engineering is required, or 8+ years of experience in the field. Cross-functional experience, including Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Financials, is essential. Experience with OEM customer base and knowledge of tools such as D/PFMEA, DFM, VA/VE, DOE, DVP&R, and PPAP is preferred. The role involves leadership, coaching, and development of team members, as well as management of production and prototype tool progress, launch readiness reviews, and other duties as required.

  • Supervise a Program Quality Engineering Specialist and provide guidance and development through coaching and formal performance reviews.
  • Manage, monitor, and analyze key tasks, activities, and costs through the multiple phases of the program.
  • Outline timing, monitor, and report on activities, costs, open issues, suppliers, and coordination of cross-functional team responsibilities.
  • Involve in customer negotiations and own programs from conception to production.
  • Drive APQP disciplines within the organization and lead CFT, holding team members accountable to timelines, budget, etc.
  • Meet or exceed budget and improve contribution margin.
  • Obtain and present divisional metrics related to the specified program to the Chief Program Manager/Senior Program Manager.
  • Interface with Project Managers as necessary and provide guidance to Management in all Program-related decisions.
  • Provide timely coaching, counseling, and feedback to employees and input into Performance Reviews of assigned CFT members.
  • Maintain a confidential and professional demeanor at all times and work in a safe manner.
  • Abide by company rules and policies and set SOW/SOR for all new programs.
  • Establish and develop Cross-Functional Teams and meet all customer commitments and milestones.
  • Obtain proficiency in TCAS and manage production and prototype tool progress.
  • Conduct all necessary Launch Readiness Reviews and perform other duties as required.
  • Completion of a community college diploma/certificate.
  • 7 or more years of work-related experience.
  • Post-secondary diploma in Business Administration or Engineering, or 8+ years of experience in the field.
  • Cross-functional experience, including Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Financials.
  • Experience with OEM customer base and knowledge of tools such as D/PFMEA, DFM, VA/VE, DOE, DVP&R, and PPAP.
  • DFSS and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.
