Job Summary: Seeking a skilled press operator to join our team at Magna Exteriors, responsible for setting up and operating presses, ensuring efficient production and maintaining a safe working environment.

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems, exterior trim, modular systems, and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck, and industrial markets. As a recognized innovator in vehicle exteriors, Magna provides a comprehensive range of services from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate presses, ensuring efficient production and maintaining a safe working environment
  • Coordinate with other departments, including maintenance and toolroom, to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation
  • Communicate effectively with area leaders and other team members to address problems and implement solutions
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S standards and company policies
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and attend training sessions as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested by management
Key Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a post-secondary education in a technical field
  • Valid Forklift license, with training provided and maintained if required
  • Valid Crane license, with training provided and maintained if required
  • Knowledge of press controls, tooling protection, and other equipment
  • Strong mathematical skills and good English communication skills
  • Ability to work overtime and adapt to changing priorities
Additional Desirable Qualifications
  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • Ability to follow written instructions and maintain accurate records
