Laundry Support Specialist

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for performing laundry services including cleaning and distributing linens to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Properly sort, wash and dry linens following established laundry procedures
  • Fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
  • Collect soiled linens and redistribute clean linens
  • Transport supplies to include clean and soiled linen to designated storage and collection areas
  • Routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn linens and following standard operating procedures for damaged linens
  • Maintain commercial and residential laundry rooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition

Requirements:

  • Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry or equivalent combination of training and experience is an asset
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Able to operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, linen press, and clothing labeler
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team setting
  • Physically able to carry out duties of the position
