Key Responsibilities- Mix and Add Detergents and Chemicals: You will be responsible for mixing and adding detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals to ensure the highest quality of laundry services.
- Operate Laundry Machines: You will operate machines to dye, spray, re-oil, and re-buff suede and leather garments, as well as hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles.
- Hand Iron and Finish Garments: You will hand iron laundered fine linens or dry-cleaned silk garments, and use hand irons to finish pants, jackets, shirts, skirts, and other dry cleaned and laundered articles.
- Operate Finishing Equipment: You will operate finishing equipment such as steam pressers, and use hand irons to finish garments and other articles.
- Assemble and Bag Finished Articles: You will assemble and bag finished articles, and check them to ensure that they meet our establishment standards.
- Record Damage or Improper Cleaning: You will record damage or improper cleaning or laundering of articles, and match invoices or tags with dry-cleaned or laundered articles.
- Use Hand-Held Steam Iron: You will use a hand-held steam iron to touch up finished garments and other articles.
- Attention to Detail: You will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to have attention to detail to ensure the highest quality of laundry services.
- Physical Demands: The role requires handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
- Team Player: You will work as part of a team to ensure the highest quality of laundry services.
- Client Focus: You will have excellent oral communication skills and be able to work with clients to ensure their laundry needs are met.
- Judgement: You will have good judgement and be able to make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Term: The role is permanent, and you will work 40 hours per week.
- Work Language: The primary language of work is English.
