The Nova Scotia Education Common Services Bureau (NSECSB) is a government reporting entity under the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. The NSECSB provides centralized management and administration of various programs and services to support the efficient administration and operations of Nova Scotia's public education system.

The Project Coordinator will provide project management and support implementation of various programs, services, and initiatives assigned to the NSECSB. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing project plans and research
  • Developing options and recommendations
  • Budget monitoring and contract management
  • Communications and engagement with stakeholders
  • Reporting and supporting implementation, including change management plans

The Project Coordinator will establish relationships with internal and external clients, contract service providers, and provincial working groups and committees through project support and regular monitoring and progress updates.

This position reports directly to the Executive Director of the NSECSB.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of five years of experience leading and supporting projects and program development and management, as well as experience in a leadership role with various stakeholders.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written communication, budgeting, public speaking, and presentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgement, strategic thinking, and effective decision-making skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with general office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the internet

The NSECSB offers a competitive salary based on a combination of qualifications and experience. This is a two-year term position with a possibility of renewal.
