Senior Internal Auditor

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Irving Oil's Internal Audit team as a Senior Internal Auditor. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our internal controls and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute audit plans to assess the risk and control environment of various business units.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement corrective actions.
- Provide expert advice on audit and compliance matters.
- Lead and mentor junior team members to ensure the success of audit projects.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g. accounting, business, finance).
- Professional designation as a CIA or interest in obtaining it within a year of hire.
- 5+ years of post-university work experience in a related field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
