Mental Health Worker, Looking Glass Residence

Seeking a Mental Health Worker to contribute to the recovery and well-being of residents at the Looking Glass Residence, a 14-bed residential treatment facility for young men and women with eating disorders.
As a Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting residents in achieving their goals and promoting their overall well-being. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing recreation and leisure programs tailored to individualized recovery plans
- Monitoring and evaluating resident progress, reporting observations to nursing and medical staff as needed
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized recovery plans, identifying and assessing resident needs and goals
- Participating in continuous quality improvement activities, providing input and feedback to supervisors on processes and opportunities for improvement
- Transporting residents to designated locations, operating the Centre's passenger van/bus, and maintaining records of vehicle maintenance and usage
Qualifications and Skills:
- Grade 12, Certificate in Community Mental Health, and one year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Valid Class 4 BC Driver's License
- Valid First Aid Certificate and current CPR certification
- Ability to organize work, supervise, and communicate effectively
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
- Ability to operate related equipment
- Commitment to developing knowledge and understanding of legislative obligations and provincial commitments related to Indigenous reconciliation
