We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and versatile individual to fill the role of Platform and Release Coordinator on our dynamic digital team working on our digital platforms portfolio, including our corporate site

This role blends maintenance, optimization, and support activities for our digital platforms with release coordination to ensure seamless deployment of updates to maintain exceptional operations and customer satisfaction. They will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, project teams and our development and sustaining engineering teams across a range of activities and functionalities.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This role is based in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to the Manager, Commercial Technology. This role involves interactions with primarily internal stakeholders at various levels.

What You'll Be Doing

Release Management:
  • Coordinates the deployment of software updates, patches, and new features in alignment with the release schedule and project timelines
  • Monitors deployments, track progress, and collaborate with deployment team to address any issues or conflicts that arise during a release
  • Communicates release schedules, status updates, and post-release impacts to stakeholders
Acquisition & Deployment:
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of all Commercial and digital platforms as well as the company's strategic business plans
  • Presents proposed support changes to business, technical and executive stakeholders as necessary, and follow-up on all issues and required modifications
  • Assists in UAT and execute test cases for support tickets requiring code fixes
Operational Management:
  • Assists in managing the eCommerce platform, ensuring it is up-to-date, secure, and performing optimally
  • Provides technical support for the eCommerce platform, troubleshooting issues and working with vendors and internal teams to resolve them
  • Assists in training team members and stakeholders on platform functionalities and best practices.
  • Maintains comprehensive documentation of platform configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Serves as the central point of contact for support-related inquiries and release coordination activities, fostering open communication and collaboration across teams
  • Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues, analyzing system logs and diagnosing software bugs
  • Monitoring of system crash reports and work with the product technical team to solve them proactively
  • Collaborates with product owners to prioritize support patching activities
  • Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or project teams
  • Act effectively as technical speaker with the business and project team
  • Contributes and maintain a knowledge base of previous support issues
Who You Are

  • Ability to organize and lead meetings, workshops and group discussions with good presentation skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications
What You Bring
  • 1-3 years of eCommerce, web development, or a related technical role
  • Experience assisting or leading with planning, coordinating, and managing software releases
  • Understanding of the release lifecycle and best practices for code and infrastructure deployment
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and frameworks
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, including Scrum or Kanban
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering.
  • Relevant certifications (eg, AWS Cloud Practitioner)
  • Experience and knowledge of:
    • Phases of the web development lifecycle
    • Agile frameworks and practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc)
    • Web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, React, , web analytics)
    • Atlassian JIRA & Confluence
    • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preferred experience and knowledge in
    • TestRail or similar test management tools
    • Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
