Join Canadian Pacific (CPKC) as a Supervisor in our Mechanical Loco department, where you will lead a team in maintenance, inspections, and repairs on locomotives and mobile equipment.

Purpose of Position:

The Supervisor provides planning, scheduling, and assignment of resources to specific jobs within the shop and yard, ensuring safe and efficient repairs and servicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a unionized team in maintenance, inspections, and repairs on locomotives, mobile equipment, and vehicles
  • Ensure repairs and train servicing comply with Association of American Railroad, Transport Canada standards, and CPKC policies
  • Work with internal and external partners to improve fluidity and achieve operational goals
  • Provide leadership accountability for safety, service, productivity, and financial metrics
  • Lead safety compliance within the terminal, providing corrective actions as needed
  • Mentor and coach team members through active observation and feedback

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma
  • Valid driver's license
  • 2 years' previous supervisory experience in logistics or an operational environment
  • Ability to work all types of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent focus, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Proficient in MS Office Outlook, Word, and Excel
