Job Summary

CPKC is seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor to join our Mechanical Loco team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and assigning resources to ensure safe and efficient maintenance and repairs of our locomotives, mobile equipment, and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a unionized team in maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs to ensure compliance with Association of American Railroad, Transport Canada standards, and CPKC policies.
  • Work with internal and external partners to improve fluidity and achieve Local Service Operating Plan and Operating Plan objectives.
  • Provide leadership accountability for safety, service, productivity, and financial metrics.
  • Conduct safety compliance within the terminal, providing corrective actions as needed to uphold standards and promote a culture of safety.
  • Mentor and coach team members through active observation and provide feedback.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • 2 years' previous supervisory experience in logistics or an operational environment.
  • Ability to work all types of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays in all weather conditions.
  • Excellent focus, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Proficient in MS Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
