Production Coordinator role involves coordinating daily production activities, collaborating with production scheduling, and ensuring seamless operation of food manufacturing processes.

Production Coordinator

  • Department: Production
  • Reports to: Plant Manager
  • Location: Mississauga

Mission

As a Production Coordinator, your mission is to ensure the efficient operation of our food manufacturing processes, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of production, including scheduling, budgeting, SOPs, and resource allocation.
  • Support Operational Excellence program, collecting and reporting data on batch yield and variances.
  • Coordinate production-related training programs and ensure training logs are updated and maintained.
  • Communicate with various departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve production-related issues.
  • Plan production schedule by coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain production schedules and track progress to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing production documents, such as loading sheets and reports.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to secure necessary materials and services.
  • Monitor production budgets and expenses, reporting discrepancies to management.
  • Support the production team with administrative tasks and other duties as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Stay within allocated production budget.
  • Maintain optimal production supplies inventory level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Production Coordinator or in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in production management software and tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards.
