Health Services Manager

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a skilled Health Services Manager to join our team. As a Health Services Manager, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating services and daily operations of people-centered programs within Nova Scotia Health.

About the Role

  • Provide leadership and direction for VG 9A and Enterostomal Clinic to ensure goals and objectives are continually met
  • Promote and emphasize people-centred care in partnership with the patient, family, and healthcare team
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an active human resource plan, including recruitment, selection, interviewing, and hiring
  • Prepare and analyze financial and clinical data, reporting trends and identifying areas for corrective action
  • Establish and maintain effective communication processes across clinical teams, sites, and stakeholders
  • Manage process improvements for quality patient care and capacity enhancement
  • Represent the discipline or service/program in meetings and on committees
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to support service delivery excellence and collaboration
  • Monitor clinical service delivery to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and evidence-based practice

About You

  • Baccalaureate degree from a health discipline
  • Master's degree an asset
  • Registration with the relevant health discipline college/association
  • Five to seven years of relevant clinical experience
  • Previous leadership/management experience an asset
  • Experience and expertise in process planning and redesign work
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of healthcare issues and trends
  • Requires a high level of sound judgment, initiative, and self-direction
  • Demonstrates high degrees of independent decision making, motivation, creativity, flexibility, adaptability, and change management knowledge
  • Proven and highly developed leadership skills, including vision, self-awareness, relationship, and team building skills, and communication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

What We Offer

  • Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Approximately 11 months (Assignment length subject to change)
  • $60.39 Hourly
  • Benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan
