Customer Business Manager - Food Service

Arla Foods is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Business Manager to join our Food Service team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing customer plans aligned with our National Foodservice Sales and overall business strategies.

About the Role

  • Develop and execute customer plans to achieve sales, revenue, profit, and personnel targets
  • Influence new and profitable sales volume with major foodservice distributors and further processors
  • Participate in sales and foodservice meetings and planning sessions
  • Deliver against KPI objectives and ensure proper control and implementation of customer rebates and discounts
  • Manage the monthly CDC costing template and ensure implementation of pricing details and margin management
  • Provide consistent monthly reporting to the Director, National Foodservice Sales
  • Establish and develop strong relationships with customers based on relative importance to the overall delivery of the Foodservice Department Sales objectives
  • Develop annual customer plans for identified major Foodservice customers
  • Monitor and communicate customer and product information on the Foodservice & Bakery market
  • Develop relationships with customer contacts to gain knowledge of business needs and ensure delivery of business plans
  • Liaise with Customer Service Manager and team
  • Deliver required forecast accuracy to minimize wastage and maximize service levels
  • Seek out opportunities for self-development and continually improve skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Bakery and/or Food Service sales
  • Considerable product knowledge of cheese related to the Bakery/Food Service industry
  • Working knowledge of CDC and component pricing, the bakery segment, and bakery distribution
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a field related to business administration
