This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Your role

As Digital Editor for Radio-Canada's ICI TÉLÉ platform, you will manage content in a variety of formats, such as text, photos, videos and other original material, and ensure items are posted online according to a specific timeline. You will also write headlines and articles. Additionally, you will develop, plan and program multimedia content. We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable both working alone and interacting with others. You are interested in digital TV content, are curious and diligent, and want to help improve the discoverability of our great TV lineup.

You must be a responsible self-starter with an eye for detail and a good understanding of the update ecosystem and digital content production. Working closely with TV production teams, you must be able to track and co-ordinate a variety of content items. You must have a solid grasp of content sharing best practices and their impact on our discoverability.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Two years' relevant experience
Desirable skills:
  • Good general knowledge
  • Good knowledge of what's happening in the TV industry
  • Passion for TV content
  • Familiarity with web and social media trends and discoverability concepts
  • Comfort handling visual content
  • Strong ability to digitize, format and edit audiovisual material
  • Solid command of French and superior writing ability
  • Proficient knowledge of Google Workspace
  • Aptitude for and interest in learning our in-house digital ecosystem, content management system (CMS) and image/video processing tools
  • Ability to analyze traffic data and devise tailored strategies
  • Strong digital communication skills
  • High tolerance for stress and ability to work well under pressure during peak periods
  • Strong social and collaborative skills
