About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Rentals & Retail Associate to join our team at Glen Eden. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless rental experience, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and respond to inquiries in a friendly and efficient manner
- Assist visitors with sizing and fitting of ski/snowboard equipment while maximizing comfort and safety
- Explain proper use of ski and snowboard rental equipment as well as general safety practices to visitors
- Ensure that all documentation is completed and filed according to Rental Department protocols
- Ensure that skis and snowboards pass visual inspection and that all issued equipment meets safety protocols
- Receive returned rental equipment, following equipment check-in procedures
- Work in accordance with Conservation Halton's Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (evenings, nights and holidays), depending on visitation levels
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Previous related experience, knowledge of recreational programming is an asset
- Experience with point-of-sale procedures is an asset
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds, stand, and walk/stand for long periods of time
