Job Summary: Seasonal Rental Associate at Glen Eden, Conservation Halton, assisting visitors with ski/snowboard equipment rentals, providing excellent customer service, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

The Rental Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to visitors at Glen Eden, a Conservation Halton facility. This role involves assisting visitors with sizing and fitting of ski/snowboard equipment, explaining proper use of rental equipment, and ensuring all documentation is completed and filed according to protocols.

  • Greet visitors and respond to inquiries in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Assist visitors with sizing and fitting of ski/snowboard equipment while maximizing comfort and safety
  • Explain proper use of ski and snowboard rental equipment as well as general safety practices to visitors
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed and filed according to Rental Department protocols
  • Ensure that skis and snowboards pass visual inspection and that all issued equipment meets safety protocols
  • Receive returned rental equipment, following equipment check-in procedures
  • Work in accordance with Conservation Halton's Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (evenings, nights and holidays), depending on visitation levels
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Previous related experience, knowledge of recreational programming is an asset
  • Experience with point-of-sale procedures is an asset
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds, stand, and walk/stand for long periods of time
  • Successful candidates must complete and/or provide a copy of Bindings Certificate prior to first day of employment
  • Other duties as assigned
