Grill Cook

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Grill Cook to join our team. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for running the grill operations, preparing food, and serving customers at the grill station.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Prepare items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing, or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning, and/or marinating.
  • Use established ticket-collection procedures during service and maintain accurate records.
  • Comply with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.

Requirements:

  • Two years of working experience as a grill cook or in kitchen preparation and cooking.
  • FoodSafe Level 1 Certification.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
