About the Role:
The Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Game Day Assistant as part of our hockey properties at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Game Day Director to execute all in-game activities, ensuring seamless transitions and engaging fan experiences.
- Attend production meetings prior to the game to discuss promotional strategies and logistics.
- Execute all pre-game ceremonies and in-game activities, including selecting and briefing contestants for promotions and on-ice intermission features.
- Engage in constant communication with game night staff to ensure timely and effective execution of promotions.
- Assist with the coordination of in-game talent and liaise with the marketing department to develop and implement in-game and on-ice promotions.
- Organize and layout all prizing and promotional materials needed on a game night, ensuring a polished and professional presentation.
- Participate in the Safety Program and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Game Presentation.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in event production and promotions is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of the sport of hockey and ability to multi-task, improvise, and troubleshoot areas of concern.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for interacting with people and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Comfortable working in front of large crowds and in front of a camera.
- Schedule flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts.
