About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled C++ Game Tools Programmer to join our team at Summit Squad, a mobile games studio in Calgary, Canada. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and refining a suite of tools and pipelines that empower our developers to bring their visions to life with greater ease and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement game development tools and pipelines using C++.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other engineers to create and iterate on game tool workflows.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality features and technologies that enhance game development workflows.
  • Debug and optimize code for performance, stability, and quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technical advancements and best practices in game development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience with C++ (C++11 minimum).
  • Familiarity with the new features in C++17.
  • Exceptional ability to identify bugs in unfamiliar C++ code.
  • Experience and demonstrated proficiency in UI / UX development.
  • Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and team collaboration abilities.
