Job Summary

The Customer Services department of the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts is seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to provide exceptional guest service. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising ushering staff to ensure strong, efficient customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service with a focus on excellence patron experience.
  • Assist the Front of House Coordinator in ensuring that staff dress code is upheld.
  • Deal with patron-related issues.
  • Assign staff breaks.
  • Provide feedback to Coordinators with respect to customer comments and concerns and write accurate reports.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a high school graduation and a minimum of two years' experience in theatre or a related field. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to deal with a diversity of people in a calm, courteous, and effective manner.

A team player with a strong work ethic and ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment is essential. The ability to cover flexible shift times and respond to on-call demands, including evenings and weekends, is also an asset.

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of patrons. They will also be required to lift up to 15kg and stand for long periods of time.
