**Job Description:** PAL Aerospace is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our mechanical and structures engineering team, driving innovation and excellence in aircraft modification and repair projects.

**Job Responsibilities:**

  • Lead a team of engineers in all areas of aircraft modification and repair projects, including technical duties and management responsibilities.
  • Support customers, equipment suppliers, and regulatory bodies in project requirements.
  • Perform on-site engineering support for aircraft modifications, surveys, testing, and other tasks.
  • Effectively communicate with on-site aircraft maintenance teams and manage engineering design changes during aircraft modifications.
  • Prepare engineering and airworthiness documentation, including reports, analysis, and compliance documents.
  • Design models and engineering drawings for various aircraft modifications and repairs.
  • Assist with training and development of junior engineers.
  • Manage team workload capacity and maintain awareness of team members' technical capabilities.
  • Participate in recruitment activities and selection of new team members.
  • Perform group check-in meetings with direct reports and assist in skill enhancement and new skill development.

**Requirements:**

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a technical role supporting aircraft development, modifications, and/or repairs.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in a role managing a technical/engineering team.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or extensive applicable experience.
  • Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and standards from Transport Canada, FAA, and/or EASA.
  • Experience with CAD software, such as Solidworks and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in aircraft structures and stress analysis, mechanical systems, and occupancy safety.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, verbal communication, writing, and publication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
