About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Associate II to join our team at Marsh, a global leader in insurance broking and risk management. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in defining, designing, and delivering innovative solutions to effectively manage risk for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Placement Strategies
    • Use your P&C risk expertise to instruct placement strategy and develop placement solutions that meet complex client needs.
    • Manage a book of high-profile, highly complex, insurance and risk management portfolios.
  • Collaborate with Clients and Carriers
    • Guide strong working relations with carriers and/or underwriters to create innovative approaches to unique client needs and provide cohesive client service.
    • Audit and finalize commission structure with underwriter in accordance with client direction and agreement.
  • Stay Ahead of Market Trends
    • Achieve a thorough understanding of changing insurance and risk market conditions and inform client teams, clients, and carriers of major developments affecting various types of coverage.
    • Apply advanced knowledge to the firm's product lines by active participation in internal networks.
  • Lead Complex Placement Activities
    • Lead complex placement/technical support activities on big accounts to ensure contract execution as required.
Requirements
  • Risk Management Experience
    • Risk Management experience, an understanding of Risk concepts, and strong technical knowledge.
  • Insurance Industry Expertise
    • 3-5 years insurance experience on the Broker or Insurer side.
    • Broker License (or willingness to obtain).
  • Market Knowledge
    • An in-depth knowledge of changing market conditions to contribute to the firm's body of knowledge within placement.
    • Multinational, International, and complex account experience.
