We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Associate to join our team at Banque Nationale. As a key member of our Treasury Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating financial risks associated with interest rates and foreign exchange transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in projects related to interest rate risk management and foreign exchange pricing, working closely with our modeling team to develop and implement risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with our Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) team to design and implement risk models, including interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, and balance sheet forecasting.
- Develop and maintain complex balance sheet forecasting models using QRM software, ensuring accurate and timely risk assessments.
- Work closely with our production and surveillance teams to provide risk management support and guidance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to interest rate risk management, foreign exchange pricing, and balance sheet forecasting.
You will be part of a dynamic team of risk management professionals, working closely with our Director of Treasury Risk Management, Expertise and Innovation QRM. As a Risk Management Associate, you will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management strategies, working closely with our QRM team to design and implement risk models, and providing risk management support to our production and surveillance teams.
Requirements- Degree in a quantitative field related to finance, economics, mathematics, or computer science, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of risk management and financial markets.
- Experience with data extraction and manipulation using SQL or other languages/tools is an asset.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Knowledge of QRM software is an asset.
- Excellent communication, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and autonomous individual with a strong desire for continuous learning.
Fluency in French and English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and partners.
