About the RoleAs an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting best-in-class pension programs by analyzing financial data, conducting valuations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the financial health of pension plans by conducting regular valuations, analyzing plan assets, liabilities, participant demographics, and investment performance
- Calculate pension benefits for plan participants based on factors such as years of service, salary history, and retirement age
- Help plan sponsors determine appropriate contribution levels to ensure long-term sustainability of the plan
- Assist in the design and modification of pension plans
- Post-secondary education in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Successful completion of at least 2 exams from the SOA or CIA
- Strong competency with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting
- Continuous learning mentality; staying updated with the latest developments in actuarial science, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
