Clinical Coordinator, Community Mental Health, Masters

Seeking a leader with a Master's Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or a related health discipline to oversee the day-to-day operations of the mental health and substance use team.
About the RoleAs a key member of the team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities, supervising clinical staff, and providing leadership to contracted service providers and interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the day-to-day activities to ensure optimal use of resources and efficient use of clinical staff
- Supervise designated clinical staff, including performance evaluation, staff training, and development
- Provide a linkage between community mental health and substance use programs, acute care hospitals, and community residential facilities
- Assist staff in resolving complex clinical issues and oversee the development of joint care plans
- Participate in quality assurance audits, facility reviews, and facility or staff investigations
- Develop and implement quality improvement processes and participate in risk management for the clinical area
- Participate as a member of local and regional committees and planning bodies
- Maintain broad development in Mental Health and Substance Use
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or other relevant health-related discipline
- Four (4) years recent related experience, including two (2) years of staff supervisory experience
- Eligible for registration with relevant professional association
- Valid B.C. Driver's license and access to personal vehicle for work-related purposes
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, revise, and participate in the evaluation of programs
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective clinical supervision and leadership to staff within an interdisciplinary team setting
- Comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices, and theories of social work, clinical counseling, or other health-related discipline
- Demonstrated ability to teach and facilitate learning of staff and/or clients and families
