St. Michael's Hospital, a leading healthcare facility in Ontario, is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department team. As a Clinical Leader Manager, I invite you to be part of a world-class team providing specialized care in Trauma, Critical Care, Neurosurgery, Stroke, and Cardiac Care.
The Emergency Department is undergoing a large-scale renovation, featuring 36 individual rooms and a brand-new trauma bay. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and is committed to staff wellness and safety.
We are looking for a nurse who is passionate about practicing the full spectrum of emergency nursing and is eager to work in a dynamic, expert team environment. Our department is home to world-leading practitioners who are dedicated to supporting new team members to grow and excel.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
- Develop and implement effective care plans to meet patient needs
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
- Current General Class (Practicing) Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical experience, with emergency experience preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification or willingness to complete within 4 months
- Completion of Coronary Care 1 or willingness to complete within 6 months
- Completion of Elselvier Clinical Nursing modules or Critical Care/Emergency Medicine certificate
- Completed Course on Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behaviour
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate with patients and teams
- Excellent planning, priority setting, time management, organization, and coordination skills
12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays. Shifts are subject to change as per departmental needs.
