We are seeking a highly skilled Category Specialist to join our team at WestJet. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading strategic projects, managing contracts, and developing relationships with suppliers.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure fueling operational performance meets company expectations, including the development of required processes.
- Support regulatory emissions compliance and reporting.
- Liaise with internal teams and business partners to establish short-term and long-term objectives.
- Lead contract renewals and strategic sourcing activities, including scoping, spend analysis, sourcing, negotiating, and contracting.
- Conduct market data research and analyze industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, ethical practices, and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic procurement, contract management, category management, and sourcing.
- Excellent relationship building, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, contracting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent.
