Job Summary: Seeking a Nutrition Worker to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for students, maintain kitchen facilities, and ensure special diets are met.
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education Department is seeking a Nutrition Worker to join our team at Sally Ross School in Hall Lake, SK. This is a full-time, definite-term position that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality food services to our students.
Nutrition Worker Job Description- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for students, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain and sanitize the cooking facility and equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Monitor and maintain the inventory of food and supplies, ordering as needed to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Work closely with staff to ensure special diets are being addressed and that all students have access to healthy food options.
- Maintain proper safety standards throughout all food preparation and storage, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the Education Department.
- Must have a Saskatchewan Safe Food Handling Certificate.
- Grade 12 diploma (preferred).
- Experience in preparing food and snacks, with a focus on nutrition and safety.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and students.
- Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
