About the Opportunity

This is a unique chance to join our team as a Utility Worker in the Nutrition and Food Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals and supplies to patients, residents, and staff. You will also be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient trays, related equipment, and workplaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve patient meals and supplies
  • Clean and sanitize patient trays, equipment, and workplaces
  • Support safe food handling procedures
  • Provide overall service excellence
About You

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is able to work as part of a team to provide services and achieve departmental and/or organizational goals. You should have a strong ability to communicate effectively while demonstrating civility and respect. Restaurant experience and customer service skills are considered assets.

Requirements
  • Grade 12/GED or equivalent
  • Demonstrated competency in English and basic Math
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to perform duties within expected timeframes and standards of accuracy
Working Conditions

This is a casual relief position with a 3% FTE. You will be required to work shiftwork, including call, rotation, and other duties as assigned. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with frequent physical demands, including standing and walking, bending, lifting, and transferring/transporting equipment.

Compensation and Benefits

$19.26 - $20.02 hourly

11% in lieu of benefits and vacation
