The Account Manager will play a crucial role in steering the growth and innovation of our product lines in a fast-paced environment. This role encompasses a comprehensive management of the sales cycle, from generating leads and understanding client needs to providing tailored solutions, quotes, and robust after-sales support.

The ideal candidate will have a profound comprehension of the market and the unique needs and concerns of clients. Strong communication skills, a solid technical foundation, and a collaborative spirit are essential for this role. The Account Manager will provide vital technical insights for product design and functionality and work cross-functionally to ensure a smooth and satisfying client experience.

The role demands:

  • End-to-End Sales Process Management (60%): Oversee all stages of the sales cycles, from initial client engagement to closing the sale.
  • New Business Opportunities & Proposal Development: Proactively seek out potential clients and business opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • Client Relationship Management & Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Actively work to build rapport and establish trust with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Pre-Sales, Post-Sales & After-Sales Troubleshooting: Offer comprehensive support to clients before, during, and after a purchase, ensuring they have all the information and assistance they need.
  • Client & Sales Pipeline Data Management: Work with the finance and customer service teams to swiftly resolve any issues related to invoicing or payments, ensuring client satisfaction is maintained.

The Account Manager will also be responsible for:

  • Strategy Development: Actively participate in product development initiatives, ensuring that new and existing products are in line with current market demands and trends.
  • Market & Product Analysis: Represent Startec at events, showcasing the company's products, services, and value proposition to potential clients and partners.
  • Sales Support & Administration: Help to develop and present compelling proposals and presentations that align with client needs and showcase the value of Startec's products and services.

**Qualifications:**

  • Engineering degree or technical designation with oil & gas industry-related experience is an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience selling within a technical sector to businesses.
  • A demonstrable track record of achieving sales targets and ability to prospect for new clients.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills that promote long-term mutually beneficial relationships with all stakeholders.
