Deliver sports and entertainment experiences to schools and students through a team that administers sports programming offerings in Calgary schools.

The CGY Crew is a group of individuals that teach and play floor hockey and flag football in Calgary schools. A CGY Crew member is responsible for working with administrators in schools to provide the highest level of instruction in hockey and football that engages students, promotes fun and teamwork, and enhances their knowledge of and appreciation for the sport of hockey and football.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hiring and managing a team of part-time staff that deliver sports programming in schools.
  • Creating content and lesson plans for sports programs hosted by CSEC.
  • Engaging educators on a regular basis to promote and improve sports programs.
  • Building and administering sports programs in classroom settings for students grades 1-9.
  • Developing program plans and materials for schools and students.
  • Coordinating administrative requirements, including waivers, insurance, and contracts.
  • Promoting sports programs through various mediums and channels.
  • Sales and marketing of sports programs.
  • Administration of HR requirements for part-time staff members.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude with an ability to create an environment of excitement and fun.
  • Previous experience working with students, grassroots sports, and schools is an asset.
  • Police check and vulnerable sector check required.
  • Access to a vehicle is necessary for travel around the city.
