RN/RPN Foot Care Nurse RN/RPN Foot Care Nurse

Home Care Assistance is seeking a skilled RN/RPN Foot Care Nurse to join our team in York Region. This is a casual and ongoing opportunity with flexible scheduling, including part-time day, evening, and night shifts.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality foot care services to residents in clinic settings, retirement homes, LTC homes, and private homes. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments to develop and update plans of care
  • Provide foot care treatments, including nail care, cutting, and filing, as well as corn and callus care
  • Screen and educate residents on foot care and wellness
  • Assess and consult on foot care needs
  • Schedule and document appointments and treatments
  • Direct and supervise wellness staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of responsibilities
  • Provide medication support and administration
  • Respond to emergency situations and complete reports as required
  • Meet the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario at all times
Requirements
  • Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario or be a UCP who has completed their medication administration course
  • Nursing experience in a similar setting
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certificate (preferable)
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management skills to work under specified time constraints
  • Ability to focus on multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
