About the Role

The Account Executive Sea Logistics – (VS) is a field sales development position responsible for developing business and sales with a focus on sea logistics products. This role involves selling other Kuehne+Nagel products and services, including airfreight, road freight, contract logistics, customs, and insurance.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to maximize sales growth through new lane segments, product marketing, and customer support.
  • Cultivate existing customer relationships for cross-selling opportunities and generate new business leads.
  • Ensure revenue growth, meet or exceed company sales goals and targets.
  • Develop and manage assigned customers, creating and executing sales plans to achieve success.
  • Demonstrate expertise on sea logistics product offerings and manage sales in a disciplined and direct manner.
  • Develop skills and experience to sell airfreight, road freight, customs brokerage, contract logistics, and insurance services.
  • Interact with clients, schedule meetings, make presentations, and negotiate rate quotations with confidence.
  • Record customer activities in the company's CRM system and develop customer intelligence.
  • Service all orders, quotes, follow-ups, and customer communication.
  • Produce a sales activity report for management on a weekly basis summarizing activities and new revenue opportunities.
  • Participate in sales meetings and support Sea Logistics Product Management through competitive analysis and improvement initiatives.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of field sales experience, with operational experience an asset.
  • Solid PC operational knowledge and Microsoft Office applications experience.
  • Knowledge of sea logistics services, including FCL, LCL, special equipment, consolidations, trans-loading, and drayage services.
  • Proactive and customer-focused, with prior sales and/or customer service experience an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, effective presentation and customer relations skills, and excellent listening skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, good analytical skills with attention to detail, and goal-oriented, self-disciplined, and self-motivated to produce results.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and excellent problem-solving skills.
