Paracel Laboratories Ltd. is a leading environmental and Indoor Air Quality laboratory, providing comprehensive services to clients across Canada and globally. Our team is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Junior Analyst to join our St. Laurent lab in Ottawa.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Junior Analyst, you will be responsible for performing analyses within a discrete section of the Laboratory, including sample preparations, standards/reagent preparation, and assistance on research projects under the direct supervision of the Department Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform analyses according to established in-house protocols.
- Prepare lab standards and reagents for routine and research-related analyses.
- Conduct analysis QC and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist in collating and tabulating data.
- Monitor and requisition supplies as required.
- Comply with company QA/QC and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, etc.) or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively follow and interpret work instructions, methods, and procedures.
- High degree of manual dexterity.
- Highly reliable and deadline-driven.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven computer skills, including MS Office (Word and Excel).
