Arup seeks a Power Systems and Engineering Leader in Canada to lead consulting engineering commissions and coordinate the delivery of engineering documentation for utility-scale energy projects. Key responsibilities include project delivery, commercial management, and leadership of a team. The ideal candidate has 20 years' experience in designing utility-scale power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, and a proven track record of preparing designs for large and complex solar, storage, and grid integration projects. Additional qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering, P.Eng. license, and excellent leadership, commercial acumen, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead consulting engineering commissions and coordinate the delivery of engineering documentation for utility-scale energy projects.
  • Manage project technical performance, recruit and manage junior staff, and promote excellent quality of project work.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, ensuring the technical, commercial, and soft skills development of staff.

Qualifications:

  • 20 years' experience in designing utility-scale power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
  • Proven track record of preparing designs for large and complex solar, storage, and grid integration projects.
  • Experience with power system control and protection systems and strategies.
  • P.Eng. license.
  • Excellent leadership, commercial acumen, and communication skills.
