What You'll Do

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated AVP, Delivery to help lead the program through this highly complex, organization-wide modernization program. As an AVP, Delivery, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of the legacy modernization initiatives within our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of program management techniques and strategies.

In conjunction with our Business and IT partners, define project goals, objectives, timelines, and success criteria to ensure alignment with business goals and the objectives of the Capability Management Office (CMO).

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and executive leadership, to understand business requirements and align them with the modernization strategy.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement by communicating program updates, benefits, and risks in a clear and concise manner.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive legacy modernization roadmaps, based on agreed upon guiding principles that consider factors such as business priorities, technical constraints, resource availability, and risk management.
  • Manage relationships with the business stakeholders in legacy modernization initiatives.
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to legacy systems and propose innovative solutions to mitigate them effectively.
  • Monitor program performance metrics, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions to optimize program outcomes.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment by building strong relationships with team members and encouraging knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to program management and legacy modernization.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering or Technology fields . A Master's degree would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Technology project or program management roles. Experience in legacy system modernization is an asset.
  • Proven experience in program management. Experience leading large-scale programs would be an asset.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams towards successful program outcomes.
  • Knowledge or experience in one or more operational areas of the business that will be included in the modernization efforts will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Some knowledge of legacy systems (mainframes, AS/400) and the challenges associated with their modernization.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale projects from initiation to completion.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while executing tactically.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration between technical and non-technical teams.
  • SAFe certification and Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are highly desirable.
