About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Geoscience Professional to join our Upstream Department. As a Geoscience Professional, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including exploration, development, and production of oil and gas opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply petroleum geoscience principles and techniques to identify hydrocarbon potential in areas or fields
  • Integrate 2D or 3D seismic, well, and geological data to create viable interpretations and multiple scenarios
  • Conduct core description and well log interpretation to analyze depositional environments and reservoir characterization
  • Utilize 2D or 3D seismic attributes and reflection geometries to develop local and regional sequence stratigraphy models and basin-fill models
  • Perform rock physics-based seismic modeling and inversion
  • Apply advanced well-log analysis (petrophysics) to optimize reservoir and production data
  • Construct 3D geologic reservoir models to define and describe reservoir rock characteristics, flow geometries, and continuity
Requirements
  • Currently studying to achieve a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Geology or Geophysics university programs
  • University student available for a work term beginning in 2024
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team-based environment
  • Ability to apply sound scientific principles
  • Analytical problem-solving and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
