Facility Operator, Critical Environments

Join BMO Financial Group as an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer and play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our worldwide facilities.
About the Role:This is a rotational shift schedule position for a 24/7 operation. As an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, building, operating, monitoring, maintaining, and repairing electrical, mechanical, and other integrated infrastructure equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Monitor and track performance, and address any issues.
- Develop and lead change management plans of varying scope and type.
- Execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.
- Plan or maintain the reliable operation of integrated facility infrastructure support systems.
- Inspect grounds, facilities, and infrastructure support systems, and their performance.
- Identify and investigate issues to determine causes, perform minor repairs, and engage internal resources or external service providers.
- Respond to building occupant requests and concerns that resolve facility issues.
- Typically between 3 - 5 years of Data Center Operations experience or relevant trade certification.
- Experience with building infrastructure system design electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
- Strong experience with electrical and/or mechanical and architectural planning and design for high availability computer facilities.
- Good understanding of environmental requirements of computer hardware, data communications, business process equipment, and overall building systems.
- Experience with reviewing project documentation to provide feedback and translate business requirements into system solutions.
- Working knowledge of construction codes, by-laws, facilities management, operations, health and safety, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with financial budgeting and financial processes, operations and construction contract policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
- Exposure to process and/or project management tools and methodologies.
- Basic understanding of risk and regulatory requirements, policies, and best practices relevant to financial institutions.
- Proficiency with planning design software tools and the Microsoft Office suite.
