The Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician role is a regulated position that requires a license from the NS College of Pharmacy. This position involves working in a Continuing Care dispensary in Burnside to provide timely access to prescriptions for nursing home residents.

Responsibilities include:

  • Medication reconciliation for new admissions and readmissions
  • Ensuring accuracy in preparing and checking prescriptionsli>Coordinating with healthcare professionals
  • Supporting daily workflow in the dispensary
  • Managing off-site vaccination clinics
  • Transferring prescriptions between pharmacies
  • Maintaining accurate patient records

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy Technician Certificate
  • Licensed in Nova Scotia
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Reliable transportation
