About the Opportunity

The Care Team Assistant will provide direct, hands-on care to patients based on their needs and program/unit requirements. As a member of the collaborative care team, the Care Team Assistant will support patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living, while reinforcing patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.

About You

  • Education: Continuing Care Assistant Program
  • Certification: Provincial Certification with Department of Health and Wellness
  • Skills:
    • Effective listening skills
    • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Competencies in other languages (French preferred)

Requirements:

  • Provincial Certification with Department of Health and Wellness
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification

  • Competitive hourly rate: $25.70

Work Environment:

  • Full-time, long-assignment position (75 hours bi-weekly)
