Job DescriptionThe Department of Neuroscience at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the field of neuroscience.
- Conduct research on human cerebral function, utilizing systems-level and/or computational approaches, and state-of-the-art imaging methods.
- Develop a research program focusing on mechanisms underlying normal or disordered complex processes, including memory, perception, action, social behaviour, emotion, and/or neurodevelopment in humans.
- Interact with a research-intensive group focusing on fundamental problems in the neurobiology of cerebral functioning.
The successful candidate will be a foundational member of the department's expansion in human cognitive neuroscience and translational research in brain and mental health.
- Contribute to the development of a research program in human cognitive neuroscience and translational research in brain and mental health.
- Collaborate with researchers in the department and other institutions to advance knowledge in the field.
The University of Lethbridge is a research-intensive institution with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research.
- Contribute to the department's research and teaching mission.
- Develop and teach courses in neuroscience and related fields.
- Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in research on human cerebral function.
- Experience in systems-level and/or computational approaches, and state-of-the-art imaging methods.
