HRIS Business Systems Specialist

Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern have merged to form CPKC, a North American railway with a 20,000-mile network. The company is seeking a Hire-to-Retire Business Transformation Services HRIS Business Analyst to improve its HRIS and related technologies.

The successful candidate will collect requirements, conduct user acceptance tests, craft reports, and resolve business production issues. They will collaborate with Human Resources, Labour Relations, Network Service Center, and IT teams to demonstrate technology for more efficient processes. The role involves handling H2R systems at CPKC, including SAP, SuccessFactors, Concur, and others.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience working with SAP ECC HCM and EHS modules is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating with peers, superiors, and members of multi-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for all HRIS related inquiries and issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team and IT to prioritize tasks and ensure a clear governance model.
  • Diagnose system issues and propose solutions or recommendations.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing and identify performance issues.
  • Develop and maintain reports and metrics to support HR initiatives.
  • Ensure data integrity within the HRIS.
  • Develop an understanding of the organization, its processes, and customers.
  • Monitor policy, process alignment, and Collective Bargaining Agreement compliance.
  • Assess partner requests for feasibility and impact on existing solutions and processes.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience working with SAP ECC HCM and EHS modules.
  • Experience collaborating with peers, superiors, and members of multi-functional teams.
