Job Summary:

  • Lead the organization, management, and leadership of the nursing department
  • Assume responsibility and act as designate in the absence of the Administrator/Director of Health Care Services
  • Guide nursing staff to achieve area-specific goals consistent with nursing standards, mission statement, values, and strategic plan

Qualifications:

  • Current registration from the Nova Scotia College of Nurses as Registered Nurse
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in a continuing care setting
  • Knowledge and experience in Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Management, and/or Infection Control

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve quality care and patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
