Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Bayshore HealthCare. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our clients in a primary health care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose mental health conditions in clients
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to address client needs
- Provide counseling and therapy services to clients using evidence-based approaches
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate client care
- Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments and medication management
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized university
- Current and valid nursing license in Nova Scotia
- Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or CPR/AED Level C
- Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in nursing practice performing mental health nursing activities
